In addition to the Order of Merit and the Silver Laurel Leaf the Federal President awards the following decorations:
Mine Rescue Service Medal (for special services in the field of mine rescue)
Handicapped Sports Silver Medal (awarded to handicapped people who through their outstanding performance have demonstrated the ability to overcome their handicap and serve as an inspiration to others)
- Zelter Badge (for a choir centenary)
- Pro Musica Badge (for a music club centenary)
- Eichendorff Badge (for a walking or mountaineering club centenary)
- Sports Badge (for a sports club centenary).
