On 4 April, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier travelled to Strasbourg.

In Strasbourg, the Federal President delivered an address to the European Parliament. He held talks with Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament, representatives of the political groups of the European Parliament, and Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission.
