Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender paid an official visit to the Republic of Lithuania from 24 to 25 August.
The Federal President met President Dalia Grybauskaitė for talks in Vilnius on 24 August. On 25 August he met Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis and visited the Holocaust Memorial in Paneriai. The Federal President and Ms Büdenbender also visited the NATO’s German led Enhanced Forward Presence in Rukla with President Grybauskaitė.
Prior to their visit to the Republic of Lithuania, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender visited the Republic of Estonia on 22 and 23 August and the Republic of Latvia on 23 and 24 August.
