Arraiolos Group in Latvia

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited Latvia on 13 and 14 September for this year’s Arraiolos meeting of non executive Presidents of the European Union. The Presidents this year discussed the topics "The future of Europe – yesterday and today" and "Social resilience in times of hard and soft security". This year it was the fourteenth meeting of the Group which was named after the Portuguese town of Arraiolos where the first meeting was held in 2003.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited Latvia on 13 and 14 September for this year’s Arraiolos meeting of non executive Presidents of the European Union.

The Presidents of Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Germany this year discussed the topics The future of Europe – yesterday and today and Social resilience in times of hard and soft security.

This year it was the fourteenth meeting of the Group which was named after the Portuguese town of Arraiolos where the first meeting was held in 2003.
