Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is travelling to the Republic of Poland on 17 June for an official visit. This is to mark the 30th anniversary of the German-Polish Treaty on Good-Neighbourliness. The Federal President will meet Polish President Andrzej Duda for political talks in Warsaw. The pair will discuss Germany and Poland’s neighbourly relations together with civil society representatives from the two countries. It will be the first time that the two heads of state have met in person since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is travelling to the Republic of Poland on 17 June for an official visit. This is to mark the 30th anniversary of the German-Polish Treaty on Good-Neighbourliness.

The Federal President will meet Polish President Andrzej Duda for political talks in Warsaw. The pair will discuss Germany and Poland’s neighbourly relations together with civil society representatives from the two countries.

It will be the first time that the two heads of state have met in person since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Federal President’s last visit to Poland was on 27 January 2020, to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp.
